FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Will NEXT guarantee me a job? No. Though
we cannot guarantee that you will get a job, we can guarantee
you that you will be completely prepared for the job search
process. You will leave our training with the tools and
confidence necessary to make an initial and lasting
impression. Moreover, through our extensive industry
contacts we can help you explore opportunities in a variety of
fields.
2. What if I have no idea what I want in a
career? First of all, know that you are not alone…and
it’s okay. Many people, both recent college graduates and
experienced individuals, don’t know what career field they
ultimately want. In fact, most individuals today will average
three different careers during their lifetime. Know, however,
that time is on your side. The important issue for you, is to
interview for a variety of positions. You will get a good feeling
on other factors, including the people and work environment,
that will influence you toward an initial career path.
Furthermore, NEXT can help you better understand who you
are, and the career fields that are right for you, with our
MBTI and STRONG INTEREST INVENTORY
assessments. Every NEXT client receives the MBTI and

3. What is the difference between NEXT and my
college career services center? Your college career
services center may have some of the same information as
NEXT does. Certainly the internet provides an abundance
of resources as well. However, NEXT will focus on YOU,
providing a one-to-one career counseling service. The tools
and confidence you will achieve comes from real world job
hunt experience, not the closed world of academia. Moreover,
you receive feedback specific to you, not the general student
population, or international web-based marketplace.
4. Will you provide me with a Resume and
Cover Letter? Absolutely! You will receive a targeted,
professional resume and cover letter template. The cover letter
template can be personalized by you with very small changes.
If you have even basic computer skills, you will be able to
make these changes. If we determine you need either two
types of resume's or cover letters for different jobs/career
fields, NEXT will provide them at no extra charge.
5. Will a lack of experience hurt me in getting
an entry level job? In some cases, yes. However, there
are multitudes of companies that specifically hire entry level
employees. The companies that will hire you, want you for
your achievement, preparedness, energy, enthusiasm, passion,
and intelligence. Moreover, regardless of how long you have
been engaged in your professional career, you have acquired a
vast amount of experience. Your acquired skills are
transferable across disciplines. Furthermore, companies
appreciate the fact that they can train you to work in their
system. When you put forth the effort for them, they will put
forth the effort for you.
6. Are there other companies that provide this
service? No, not in this area. There are a number of
executive career resource and recruiting companies, but they
are focused on the senior executive. These companies will
charge you a an up-front fee, plus they will charge you a
percentage of your earned salary differential and upwards of
50% of a bonus should you earn one in the negotiation
process. Their total fees can easily be in five-figures.
Moreover, if you graduated from college within the past few
years, those companies are not in business to help you. They
also cannot guarantee you a job.
7. How can I pay for NEXT's services? NEXT
accepts personal checks, MASTERCARD and VISA.
We have an initial consultation, and then once you decide to
move forward, full payment is required prior to our first
session.
